Join us for a refreshing and inspiring 2.5-hour workshop exploring a modern approach to floral painting. Guided by experienced artist Jo Haran, you’ll create two unique pieces – one expressive and loose, the other more refined and detailed. Jo offers a relaxed, creative environment where you’ll experiment with techniques using ink, gouache, and a variety of brushes.
Held in Shoreditch, London, our painting workshops are designed for those looking to develop and refine their floral painting skills while exploring new techniques and creative approaches in a welcoming studio setting.
The session begins with a live demonstration by Jo, introducing a freer, more fluid style of floral painting. This is a great opportunity to get comfortable with the materials and loosen up your brushwork.
You’ll then have time to explore these techniques on your own piece, with one-on-one guidance and support from Jo throughout.
We’ll take a short break mid-session. This is a great chance to pause, chat, and reflect on your progress.
In the second half of the workshop, Jo will lead a more in-depth demonstration focused on building a detailed floral composition using ink and gouache. You’ll then spend the final part of the session developing your own finished piece, with personalised guidance, tips, and feedback throughout.
By the end of the workshop, you’ll leave with two completed floral paintings, a deeper understanding of both loose and detailed floral techniques, and plenty of inspiration to continue your creative practice.
